2008 Class AA - A - B - C Tournament |

|
The seeding this year presented some interesting challenges. First of all there was a pretty clear definition between the top seven teams in each division. We were presented with some dilemma's. Should Belle Plaine by virtue of their alignment in the "tougher" Blue Division automatically be seeded in the AA brackets? The Mounds View Mustangs had an equivalent record to the Eden Prairie Lions Tap at 8 - 10, but lost to the Tap and therefore should be seeded lower. So why not let Belle Plaine and Mounds View vie for the final spot in the AA Bracket. Are the Jordan Millers "good enough" for A competition? If so, let them defeat their closest competitors, the Bloomington Eagles, for the right to compete in the A division. You will note that while we had a field of 30 teams, taking this approach led to "perfect 8's" in the AA, A and B Classes. We have 6 teams that will be left in the C Class and 2 "Guest Teams" joining that Division on the first Sunday to complete their "field of eight". All in all, it should be an exciting State Tournament for all participants. Play HARD, Play CLEAN and most of all HAVE FUN!! |
