Bloomington Eagles Senior Men's Baseball The Eagles were home Thursday night against the Belle Plaine Gray Tigers. Starting for the Eagles was Dave Frey, Dave went the first 4 innings giving up 6 runs on 5 hits and 8 walks, 5 strike-outs. The Eagles were trailing 6-3 and  would rally in the bottom of the 4th inning for 6 runs to go ahead 9-6.

Dave Frey (2-0) was the winning pitcher and John Bannigan came in and pitched 1 2/3 innings for the save.

At the plate assistant manager Colin Quinn (PH for Mike Honan in the 6th) singled to right driving in the game winning run for the Eagles. Manager Jerry Peer went 3-3 with a walk, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI, Rob Giesen went 2-4 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI, Gary Barbo went 1-3 with 1 run and 1 RBI, also receiving hits Dave Frey 1-4, Kevan Cotton 1-4, Scott Kloiber 1-2 (Final Score Bloomington 12 and Belle Plaine 11)

The Bloomington Eagles traveled to Lonsdale last night (June 1st) to play the Jokers. This was Lonsdale's first regular season game and their first MSMABA league game ever. Scott McNally (2-0) pitched a complete game win (2 to 1 ) for the Eagles recording 11 strikeouts and giving up only one run on 2 hits. The Eagles scored their two runs in the third on an RBI single John Bannigan after back to back walks to Tom Dokken and Ceasar Torres Torres scored the winning run when he came home on a wild pitch. Eagles getting hits were John Bannigan 1 - 3, Dave Frey 1 - 3, Scott McNally 2 - 3, Jerry Peer 1 - 3.

The Eagles played their second league game Wednesday night at home against the New Hope Bandits. Craig Romans was the staring pitcher for the Eagles. Romans was experiencing some control problems in the second and Scott McNally relieved Romans with one out and bases loaded. McNally struck out the #2 and #3 hitters to get the Eagles out of the jam. The Eagles opened the scoring in the 3rd when John Bannigan tripled on a ball hit to the right field corner, Brian Neibaur who reached on a HBP scored from first. New Hope tied the score in the top of the 4th. In the bottom of the 4th the Eagles scored 6 runs on 6 hits and took a 7 to 1 lead. Scott McNally scored on Kevan Cottons RBI single and Romans and Jerry Peer scored on a RBI single by Scott Kloiber. Cotton scored on an infield hit by Brian Neibaur and Kloiber also scored when the ball got away from the catcher. Gary Barbo scored on a pass ball (pinch runner Rob Giesen scored the run). Scott McNally pitched 5 and 2/3rd innings to record his first win of the season. McNally gave up 4 unearned runs on 3 hits, 2 walks, 6 strikeouts, 3 errors. The final score Eagles 9 and Bandits 4.
