Outfielder Mark Tallarico connected in the first inning in
Wednesday nights game with the St Louis Park Cardinals.
The Brewers jumped off to an early lead, but as the game
progressed, the lead changed hands several times with the
"Brew-Crew" coming out on the short end of a
closely fought 8-7 game. |

Minneapolis Brewers with a newly re-vamped lineup pounded Cardinal
pitching for 7 runs on Wednesday nite, but it wasn't enough as the
Cardinals came back in the bottom of the eighth to gain an 8 - 7
victory in the season opener for both teams. Newly acquired pitcher
Jeff Botkin, got the nod in the season opener for the Brewers.
